Lead, Senior & Intermediate Industrial Welder-Fitters

VAW Systems Ltd. is an international leader in the design and manufacture of noise control and filtration equipment with three distinct sales divisions to meet the broad range of products required for the industry.

We are currently looking to fill Lead, Senior & Intermediate Industrial Welder-Fitters on our Monday to Friday evening (4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) and midnight (12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) shifts.                                               

DUTIES:        

 

*Carry out welding operations

*Demonstrate welding & fitting capabilities

*Lead fellow employees through their daily production duties

*Ability to comply with quality assurance program

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

*The ideal candidate will have completed welding training at a vocational or technical training facility

*Ideally 5+ years of welding & fitting experience in a custom metal fabrication environment

*Lead and Senior Industrial Welders-Fitters must posses a C.W.B. Welding Supervisor ticket and must obtain all required C.W.B. tickets within 3 months (various materials & positions)

*Intermediate Industrial Welders-Fitters must obtain all required C.W.B. tickets within 3 months (various materials & positions)

*VAW will facilitate testing if required

*C.W.B. transferable welding tickets are an asset

*Must have the ability to lead, inspire and coach others

*Knowledge of industrial/commercial fans, noise control and HVAC systems are definite assets

*Knowledge of Lean principles an asset

Welder-Fitters

VAW Systems Ltd. is an international leader in the design and manufacture of noise control and filtration equipment with three distinct sales divisions to meet the broad range of products required for the industry.

We are currently looking to fill Welder-Fitter positions our Monday to Friday evening (4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) and midnight (12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) shift positions.

DUTIES:        

  • Carry out welding operations
  • Demonstrate welding and fitting capabilities
  • Ability to comply with quality assurance program

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate will have completed welding training at a vocational or technical training facility and have 3+ years of welding & fitting experience in a custom metal fabrication environment
  • Must hold, or have the ability to obtain CWB welding tickets for various positions and materials
  • Knowledge of industrial/commercial fans, noise control and HVAC systems are definite assets
  • Knowledge of Lean principles an asset

Wages are as per Collective Agreement and range from $17.25 to $19.00 per hour to start depending on qualifications and experience.  Shift premiums will apply.  VAW offers an excellent benefits package and fulfilling work environment.

Industrial Coatings Applicator

VAW Systems Ltd. is an international leader in the design and manufacture of noise control and filtration equipment with three distinct sales divisions to meet the broad range of products required for the industry.

We are currently looking to fill the role of Industrial Coatings Applicator on our Monday to Friday evening (4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) and midnight (12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) shifts.                                               

The ideal candidate will have completed vocational or technical training, has 2+ years of experience and has the ability to:

  • Set up and operate conventional and airless spray equipment
  • Maintain and clean all painting equipment, grit blasting equipment and finishing area
  • Set up and operate the grit blasting equipment (an asset)
  • Ability to read and interpret paint data sheets 
  • Ability to mix and apply various coating systems (i.e. epoxy, zinc, urethanes, etc.) top coats and primer
  • Prepare product for painting and assemble final products
  • Ability to work on ladders and at various heights
  • Knowledge of industrial/commercial fans, noise control and HVAC systems are definite assets
  • Knowledge of Lean principles an asset

Project Manager

VAW Systems Ltd. is an international leader in the design and manufacture of noise control and filtration equipment with three distinct sales divisions to meet the broad range of products required for the industry.


We are currently seeking an energetic and talented individual to fill the role of Project Manager.


As Project Manager, you will manage assigned projects and process orders in compliance within contract specifications and Company policies. Facilitate projects as required between our customers, Engineering, Production, Purchasing,

R & D, Sales and Quality.

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

·       The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate of Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing technologist 

      or have 1-5 years of experience in these related disciplines. 

·         Proficient in MS Office, knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Inventor an asset. 

·         Excellent communicator (written and verbal), hands on problem solver, engaged team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.  

·         Self motivated, eager to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement. 

·         Work-related experience and knowledge of industrial/commercial fans and noise control are definite assets. 

·         Knowledge of Lean principles an asset.
